LEMAIRE

LEMAIRE has officially launched its first flagship store in Japan, located in the vibrant Ebisu neighborhood of Tokyo. This unique boutique is housed in a beautifully renovated former private residence from the 1960s, which also features a serene zen garden. Spanning 170 square meters, this store becomes the brand's third flagship, following its locations in Paris and Seoul.

We chose this house to underscore the natural connection between our collections and a domestic atmosphere. Our pieces are crafted for everyday living and designed with the allegory of a perfectly proportioned home as a protective shelter in mind.

– Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran. Artistic Directors, LEMAIRE

Co-founders Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran explained their choice of location, highlighting the connection between their collections and a homey atmosphere. They emphasized that their designs are intended for everyday living, inspired by the concept of a well-proportioned home that offers a sense of comfort and refuge. The boutique aims to provide a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling energy of Tokyo.

The two-story space showcases traditional Japanese plasterwork, complemented by Sudare bamboo blinds that blend seamlessly with Lemaire's characteristic design elements. Inside, visitors will find inviting features like the Freud couch, multiple vintage kilim rugs, and handwoven abaca mats adorning the first floor. Locals and visitors alike can now explore this special Japanese flagship store in Ebisu.
