JJJJound recently announced its upcoming collaboration with ASICS, marking nearly three years since their last partnership involving the GEL-Kayano 14s in 2022. The new collaboration draws inspiration from early '00 runner, The GT-2160 pays homage to the GT-2000 series, both colorways combine mesh and synthetic materials with JJJJound branding on the heel and sock liner.

The sneakers features subtle grey tone on the overlays from the heel-to-toe caps, while the wide gauge mesh uppers show the pairs with a richer texture. The first colorway, in white/black features a white upper with silver and black overlays, accented with neon word marks on the tongue cushion and heel. The other is predominantly black with pure silver, the pure silver reflective outlines along the overlays, typefaces, and laces, highlighting the overall design effect more.

Compared to the retro design aesthetic and off-white soles of the GEL-Kayano 14, the JJJJound x ASICS GT-2160 model design feels more contemporary. Its sleek shape, emphasized by vertical lines molded into the midsoles, sets it apart. ASICS has been actively promoting the GT-2160 through collaborations with partners such as Above the Clouds, Carnival, and Kiko Kostadinov.

While the pricing details of the sneakers have not been disclosed by the brands, we estimate price to be $175 USD, the JJJJound x ASICS GT-2160 will be available on October 31 through JJJJound's official website, in addition to select retailers dropping in the following weeks.
