Audi has introduced its new top-of-the-line RS performance model, the RS Q8 Performance, producing 631 hp of output. This new dynamic four-door SUV is ranked as Audi’s most powerful production combustion sport model ever.

Under the hood, the RS Q8 Performance shares the same engine as the Lamborghini Urus, with the Italian-manufactured SUV retaining a sizable power advantage. The RS Q8 Performance is powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 delivering 631 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque – through an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a claimed zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. In terms of horsepower comparison, the RS Q8 Performance model has 40 more than the regular RS Q8 and now just 26 fewer than the 657 hp non-hybrid Urus – although the new Hybrid Urus SE remains victor with 789 horsepower.

For suspension and performance, the new model comes standard with Quattro all-wheel drive and RS-tuned adaptive air suspension with damping controls, along with 40-volt anti-roll cars, four-wheel steering and a newly developed exhaust system that Audi says reduces back pressure and weight, not to mention its much louder. Optional is the more intensified RS sport exhaust with gloss black tailpipes.

The RS Q8 Performance comes equipped with standard 22-inch wheels, but buyers can upgrade to larger 23-inch forged wheels. Audi asserts that these larger wheels decrease the unsprung weight by approximately 44 pounds overall. The braking system features 10-piston front calipers, and buyers can choose carbon-ceramic rotors that measure 17.3 inches in the front and 14.6 inches in the rear, which are standard on the Performance model and optional for the RS Q8.

Inside the 2025 RS Q8 performance, Audi offers two RS design packages in red or gray. The selected color choice will become the contrast stitching on the center console, floor mats, seat belts, and seats. The steering wheel, shifter, and sides of the center console are finished in sporty microsuede. For those opting for the RS design Package Plus, that micro suede material can be extended to additional areas, including the door panels and center armrests. It also offers two color choices, which enhance the center of the perforated seats and color the embossed RS logo on the seatbacks.

Like its standard counterpart, the RS Q8 Performance model boasts a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster known as the "Virtual Cockpit." However, it elevates the experience with an exclusive shift-light indicator for manual mode, adding a performance-oriented touch to the driving experience. Audi's new performance model is available for order now, with pricing starting at $137,495. Check out Audi’s new RS Q8 Performance in the galley above or in action in the video below.
