HODINKEE/PORSCHE DESIGN
Hodinkee has announced a new collaboration with Porsche Design, marking their first partnership. The result of their collaboration is the limited-edition Chronograph 1. This new timepiece is an updated version of F.A. Porsche’s original Chronograph 1, tailored for modern watch enthusiasts. Retaining some of the original design elements, such as the OG logo and the 6 o’clock “H” lettering in the iconic 1972 Porsche Design Red color, the watch exudes a timeless appeal.
Encased in titanium and measuring 40.8mm in diameter, the watch comes with a matching bracelet featuring a black titanium carbide coating. Notably, it incorporates design elements that pay homage to Hodinkee, including the legacy-spec “1 Mile” graphic rehaut, referencing the company's U.S. market, and a day display window alternating in English and Japanese, a nod to Hodinkees’ first sister publication, Hodinkee Japan.
Equipped with Porsche Design’s COSC-certified WERK 01.140 movement, the watch offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Limited to just 350 pieces, the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – Hodinkee 2024 Edition is priced at $9,650 USD per unit. The first 100 examples will be available for purchase through the Hodinkee Shop at 11 a.m. ET today, while the remaining pieces will be released through Porsche Design shortly after.
