GRAND SEIKO
In a recent release, Grand Seiko has introduced two exclusive interpretations of their 44GS watches tailored specifically for the US market. These timepieces come equipped with the Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, offering an impressive 72-hour power reserve and an exceptional ±15 seconds per month of accuracy. The movement can be observed through the transparent caseback, housed within a 40mm by 12.5mm sleek stainless steel case and bracelet.
The highlight of these limited-edition watches is the captivating "Kirazuri" ukiyo-e woodblock print texture featured on their dials. One model showcases a rosy pink hue (SBGA509), while the other boasts a soft blue (SBGA507) tone. These dials pay homage to the traditional Japanese art of woodblock prints, incorporating mica powder to create a sparkling shimmer effect.
Grand Seiko seems to take a more deliberate and meticulous approach to their limited editions, ensuring that each release receives the attention it deserves without overwhelming consumers with an excessive number of options. Likewise, both the rose pink and soft blue dials are expected to be highly sought after, with the blue variant possibly garnering even more attention due to its versatile color that shifts in different lighting conditions.
Limited to 300 pieces each, the watches will be priced at $5,600 and can be purchased now at Grand Seiko's US online store, and select authorized retailer.
