Apple is updating their new MacBook Air models with the new M3 chips. The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air can now be purchased with the M3 chips, boosting the model's performance and efficiency.
According to Apple, the M3 chips increase speed by 60%, 13 times faster than the fastest Intel-based models – in addition, both sizes offer 18 hours of battery life, 24GB of memory, and support for two displays.
Apple's target market for the new models is those who want faster speeds while running programs, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro. The M3 offers an 8-core Central Processing Unit (CPU) and up to a 10-core Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), depending on the model. The 2024 MacBook Airs are branded as the best option for improving workflow while maintaining the status as a lightweight, easy-to-manage model.
For consumers interested in the latest AI technology, the laptop is built to run most Long Language Models (LLM) and is said to have the necessary power for AI-enabled "Camera features, real-time speech-to-text translation, text predictions, visual understanding, accessibility features, and much more."
The new MacBook Air models with M3 are now available in Midnight, Starlight, Sliver, and Space Gray. The 13-inch MacBook Air with M3 starts at $1,099 USD, while the 15-inch starts at 1,299 USD.
