STARK FUTURE

Stark Future is more than an electric motorcycle – it’s a game-changing force in the motorcycle industry. Established in 2020 with Swedish roots and based in Barcelona, Stark Future is one of the fastest-growing startups in Spain’s history.

The Stark VARG MX has rapidly gained popularity in the motocross world, surpassing many traditional gas-powered bikes in overall performance and sales. Designed primarily for off-road enthusiasts, the Varg is particularly enticing for those looking for an eco-friendly alternative that doesn’t skimp on power or capability. The latest generation of the Stark Varg brings together minimalistic design language and modern technology in the 450 dirt bike category.

The Stark VARG has quickly become a dominant model in the niche category of motocross, outperforming many of its gas competitors in sales. Stark is now preparing to achieve the same penetration in significantly larger road categories, with motorcycle platforms with a non-comparable level of innovation.

The exterior has been optimized for better ergonomics, the bodywork has been engineered for better handling, control, and longer ride time, along with removing the front radiator and exhaust. The frame is built from chromoly steel, which not only enhances its durability but also contributes to an agile ride.

STARK FUTURE

At the heart is a carbon fiber sleeve 360v electric motor producing 80 hp and 983 ft-ib. The bike's torque is available instantly, allowing for lightning-fast starts and hill climbs that can easily leave traditional bikes in the dust. With a top speed of around 75 mph and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.9 seconds, the Varg MX is not just about efficiency, it's also about a thrilling ride. Equipped with a sophisticated electronic control unit (ECU) that allows riders to adjust power output and throttle response for different terrains or riding conditions, along with a digital display that offers all the essential information at a glance—speed, battery level, ride mode, and more. The bike also supports smartphone connectivity, allowing for route tracking, performance analytics, and various adjustments through an app.

For suspension, brakes, and wheels, the Varg MX comes equipped with KYB front and rear suspension, including fully adjustable front and rear forks. The handling is crisp and responsive, with the suspension soaking up bumps and rough terrain with ease. Front and Rear hydraulic disc Brembo brakes offer the riders excellent modulation and feel. The brakes are potent enough to manage high speeds while still providing the control needed in technical sections. For wheels and tires, 21-inch front wheels are standard, with the option for an 18-inch rear best for enduro or a 19-inch rear best for motocross.

Although we haven't had the chance to test ride or review the Varg MX in person – due to limited access, with only Jane Motorcycle showcasing the Varg MX, in our local area. In action, the bike seems to be a joy to ride, the transmission is smooth and the nearly silent operation is an added bonus—riders can enjoy nature without the roar of a traditional motorcycle engine.

The Varg MX is available to purchase from Starks Future's official webstore in Stark Red, Snow White, and Forest Green. Enduro models (18-inch) wheel with rear hand brake is priced at $10,999 USD, while the motocross model (19-inch) wheel with traditional rear foot brake is priced at $11,157 USD.
