Cookies Faces Lawsuit From Former Partner Seed Junky
Seed Junky, a partner of Cookies and founder Berner, filed a lawsuit against the company and its founders alleging a business deal gone bad.

Cookies, the renowned cannabis brand, is facing a lawsuit from its former partner, Seed Junky, over allegations of trademark infringement and breaching their partnership agreement.
Back in 2019, rapper and entrepreneur Berner, the founder of Cookies, joined forces with the esteemed breeders at Seed Junky to create a line of premium genetics. The partnership seemed like a match made in heaven, with each party bringing their unique expertise to the table. However, it seems that this once harmonious relationship has now turned sour. Seed Junky alleges that Cookies violated their partnership agreement by continuing to use it’s genetics without permission. They further claim that Cookies has infringed upon Seed Junky's trademark by using their strain names and associated logos without proper licensing.
This lawsuit has rocked the cannabis community, as both Cookies and Seed Junky have gained significant popularity for their high-quality products. It is indeed disheartening to witness such a dispute between two powerhouse brands that once seemed united in their mission.
In another intriguing legal battle involving Berner and Cookies - it appears that this is not the first time the brand has found itself embroiled in such allegations. In 2021, a separate lawsuit was filed against Cookies for allegedly stealing another breeder's genetics and securing profits without permission. In that case, the plaintiff claimed that Cookies had taken their strain, known as "Cookie," and commercialized it under their brand without authorization. The lawsuit alleged copyright infringement, unauthorized use of intellectual property, and unfair competition. The outcome of this particular case is yet to unfold, but it certainly adds another layer of complexity to the legal troubles facing Cookies.
While these legal battles do, in fact, cast a shadow over Cookies' reputation, it is important to remember that these allegations have yet to be proven in court. It is crucial to let the justice system run its course and wait for a fair and unbiased judgment before passing judgment ourselves. That being said, we can only hope that these issues can be resolved amicably.
