Lewis Hamilton’s First Day As A Ferrari F1 Driver
The most successful F1 driver joins the most successful F1 team.

Lewis Hamilton has officially started a new chapter in his incredible racing career, joining Ferrari after a successful 12 years at Mercedes. The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion is set to partner with Charles Leclerc, stepping in for Carlos Sainz.

On his first day with Ferrari, Hamilton couldn’t hide his enthusiasm. He took to social media to share a snapshot of himself in a sleek all-black suit standing beside a legendary Ferrari F40. Hamilton received a warm welcome from Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, Team Principal Fred Vasseur, and Vice Chairman Piero Ferrari. He then received a tour of the Marinello Headquarters, then Fiorano track as well as a visit to the historic office of Enzo Ferrari, the legendary founder of the brand.

After about 80 or so fans were prepared to greet Lewis, fans may wonder where Hamilton will stay now that he is a Ferrari F1 Driver. According to accredited F1 Photographer, Kym Illman—Lewis will reside in Milan, traveling back and forth from Milan to Maranello by helicopter, with a travel time of about 20 minutes each way.
During the upcoming week, he will engage in pre-season preparations consisting of technical briefings and meetings across various departments to gear up for the new racing season. Check out the highlight of Lewis's first day at Team Scuderia Ferrari in the video below.
