Telfar Releasing First Genuine Leather Bag “The Carry”

Sold exclusively at The Corner Shop in Selfridges.

TELFAR

TELFAR's rise in the accessible luxury handbag market has been remarkable over the past decade, with its vegan leather totes becoming coveted status symbols, particularly among Gen-Z shoppers. Now the brand has recently launched its first-ever real leather bag called "The Carry". Constructed from soft, full-grain pebble leather and features a similar silhouette to its flagship tote with a few modifications.

The brand consciously kept hardware to a minimum and left the interior of the bag unlined. Telfar describes the handbag as a response to "traditional luxury," blending both masculine and feminine design qualities to defy categorization.

Priced between $400 - $960, these prices exceed Telfar's traditional range by more than two times, but they are four times lower than comparable bags. The small is priced at $400 USD, the medium at $600 USD, and the large at $960 USD.

The handbags will be exclusively available at Telfar's new pop-up concept space at The Corner Shop at Selfridges starting September 30. Additionally, Telfar is also collaborating with Wilson's to launch a collection of leather apparel. This move signifies Telfar's transition into the upmarket segment.
