Insta360 has unveiled the Ace Pro 2, a new addition to its Ace action camera series, which is an enhancement of its collaboration with Leica, which was initiated last year. This latest model builds on the strengths of its predecessor while introducing significant performance enhancements that underscore its capabilities in challenging shooting environments.

Equipped with a 1/1.3” 8K sensor that offers an impressive 13.5 stops of dynamic range, the Ace Pro 2 excels in diverse lighting conditions. Central to its optical prowess is the Leica Summarit lens, which features a wide 157-degree field of view, establishing a benchmark for image quality in the action camera segment.

A notable advancement in the Ace Pro 2 is its dual-chip architecture, which improves both performance and imaging fidelity. The Pro Imaging Chip focuses exclusively on image processing tasks, optimizing the reduction of noise in both photos and videos. Complementing this is a 5nm AI Chip, designed not only to assist the Pro Imaging Chip but also to enhance the overall user interface and experience. This innovative design permits technically sophisticated features such as 4K 120fps slow-motion recording and 4K 60fps with Active HDR.

Additionally, the camera introduces a revamped Wind Guard for effective suppression of wind and ambient noise during recording. A removable Lens Guard, attached via a magnetic mounting system, provides added assurance for users against lens damage. The Ace Pro 2 is powered by an upgraded 1800mAh battery, which, combined with the new Endurance Mode, significantly extends operational runtime—promising 50% longer battery life at 4K 30fps compared to its predecessor.

Furthermore, the camera enhances compatibility with popular sports applications, including Garmin, Apple, and COROS. Users can seamlessly transfer data by utilizing the Insta360 app, which facilitates direct information exchange between devices.

The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 single battery bundle starts at $399.99 USD, while the dual battery bundle is priced at $419.99 USD. Along with its accompanying accessories, it is now available for purchase on Insta360 official website.
