BAPE
For 2024, legendary Japanese streetwear brand, BAPE has created and edited a multitude of well-known pieces from the brand using bleach, (included in this collection are two bleached furoshiki bags to complement the pieces for this capsule release).
According to BAPE, the bleach splatters were added to increase the colors and patterns of the Bape Check classics, breathing a breath of fresh air into the label’s more well-known silhouettes. The colors red and blue can be seen as the dominant color within the capsule’s color palette.
Some stand-out pieces include the zip shirts which will come in red-checkered and blue-checkered options. The zipper on the shirt is said to run discreetly down the front of the silhouette and small BAPE insignias will be embroidered on the chest and along with the bottom’s raw hem. Three of BAPE’s classic graphics will each be released in a black-and-white colorway. The bleach is said to be concentrated on the details of the graphic on the line of tees, (thus keeping the BAPE lettering and sleek silhouette clean).
BAPE is set to release paneled caps and furoshiki bags in the same red-checkered and blue-checkered patterns. The panel caps will feature a “BA” insignia in the middle, while the bags will have a BAPE logo on the strap.
