Off White, a streetwear brand started by Virgil Abloh in 2012, will make its grand return to the fashion world this February for Paris Fashion Week with their show entitled “Black by Popular Demand”.
The “Black by Popular Demand” show is supposed to be, according to Christiano Fagnani, the CEO of Off White, “fun and playful” while keeping in mind that the “youth come first, with our connection to culture and style”.This news of Off-White™’s fashion show at Paris Fashion Week comes after the brand’s parent company, New Guards Group, released documents touching on Off-White™’s poor financial results last year. 90 days before June 30, 2023, Off-White™ experienced a decline in revenue of close to 50%.
Off-White™ has struggled to maintain its identity since the death of Virgil Abloh in late 2021. Hopefully, with the brand under the brand’s new creative director Ibrahim Kamara, the “Black by Popular Demand” will remind the public of what Off-White™ stands for as a brand and where it will be heading as a brand in the future.
