Porsche is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the legendary 911 Turbo by introducing a limited-edition anniversary model, the 911 Turbo 50 Years. This exclusive sports car combines exceptional performance, premium materials, and unique design elements to pay homage to the iconic 911 Turbo. Limited to just 1,974 units worldwide, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is based on the last-generation 911 Turbo S and features a host of distinctive attributes that set it apart. The exterior and interior design draws inspiration from historic 911 Turbo models, blending classic elements with contemporary styling. An optional Heritage Design Package further enhances the car's aesthetics, offering a nostalgic nod to the 1970s.
The 911 Turbo 50 Years boasts unique details such as side vinyl graphics reminiscent of the historic livery of the 1973 Porsche Turbo, along with the exclusive Turbonite color scheme, which is making its debut on a 911 model. The use of Anthracite Grey on various exterior components and special badging further emphasizes the car's anniversary status.
Inside, the 911 Turbo 50 Years exudes a vintage charm with its Mackenzie tartan upholstery and Turbonite accents. The exclusive interior details include illuminated "turbo 50" model designations, bespoke aluminum plaques showcasing each car's production number, and a range of bespoke elements that add to the car's unique appeal. For enthusiasts seeking an extra touch of nostalgia, Porsche offers a Heritage Design Package, which adds exclusive features like Aventurine Green Metallic exterior paint, vintage Porsche crests, and extended tartan accents throughout the interior. The package also includes unique design elements such as gold-painted model designations and a green-themed instrument cluster, further showcasing the brand's rich heritage.
Under the hood, the 911 Turbo 50 Years retains the impressive performance of the 911 Turbo S, featuring a 640 hp 3.7L twin-turbo engine that propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. Advanced features such as Porsche Traction Management and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission ensure a thrilling driving experience befitting of the iconic 911 Turbo.
Priced at $261,100 USD, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is set to begin deliveries in late 2024. As a complement to this exclusive sports car, Porsche Design is also releasing a limited-edition chronograph, with only 1,974 units available, designed to mirror the aesthetics of the 911 Turbo 50 Years.
