BMW has just unveiled the new BMW M5 Touring, a high-performance wagon that combines electrification with M power. The world premiere of this new model took place at this year’s Monterey Car Week in California.

The BMW M5 Touring is equipped with the advanced M HYBRID drive system, which combines a powerful 4.4L V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 727 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. This powerful combination allows the M5 Touring to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and offers an electric-only driving range of up to 42 miles in the WLTP cycle.

Designed to be versatile, the M5 Touring provides ample interior space and a load capacity that can be expanded from 500 to 1,630 liters, making it suitable for both daily driving and road trips. The exterior features athletic proportions, large air intakes, a newly designed kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting, and a sculpted rear end with a two-section diffuser and quad exhaust tips.

The vehicle's chassis technology, including adaptive M suspension and M-specific tuning, ensures a balance between dynamic performance and ride comfort. Furthermore, the M5 Touring has a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems and cutting-edge technology, such as the latest BMW iDrive system and 5G connectivity.

Set to be launched in the market in November 2024, the new BMW M5 Touring is expected to be a significant addition to BMW’s high-performance lineup. While pricing details have not been disclosed at the time of writing, BMW has mentioned that key markets for the M5 Touring include Germany, the U.S., and the UK.
