The Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has issued 66 business licenses so far to the first wave of store owners. Since December of 2022, we've witnessed the first legal sale of cannabis in new york city; however, many are uncertain about where to buy legal cannabis.
There are currently only four legal storefronts where you can purchase cannabis in New York. These stores are Housing Works Cannabis Co, Smacked Village, Just Breathe, and Union Square Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store. We’ve listed all of the following storefronts below with additional details. Upon entry, you must be 21 or older and present a valid ID. Once you arrive at one of these four locations, security will ask for your ID. Once your age is confirmed, you may proceed to a Budtender for help with product knowledge or take a look around if you are familiar with some of the products, until your ready to purchase.
